Creating a bespoke logo for your business is a must. A good logo creates instant brand recognition and visual consistency, conveying trustworthiness and professionalism. It allows customers to recognise your work at a glance.
Over the years I have created many logo and brand identities for businesses and individuals. Below are just some examples.
(Above) The client requested a logo that was instantly recognisable as a barbershop. The barber pole colours and symmetrical layout respecting the vernacular of barbershop traditions are offset by the moustache motif and customised “Jayo” lettering bringing a playful modern twist to a familiar form.
(Above) The iconic colourful wall in Callan’s beer garden was the jumping off point for this striking logo. The central bridge icon and inclusion of the Callan coat of arms were important elements in a design that it is modern, fun and fresh.
(Above) The Capotú logo was inspired colours and forms of acoustic guitars. Warm earthy sunburst tones and bold curves with presence are key components to a logo that jumps to the fore, even when used on top of imagery.
(Above) The Magheracloone Community Centre was inspired by entrants of the Schools Logo Competition. The famous hills of Magheracloone are portrayed in three simplified drumlin forms representing the three local schools that took part in the logo competition. The tree as a symbol of life and growth represents the community centre as a gathering place where people feel welcome in its shelter. The tree has 3 main branches acknowledging the past, present and future generations of the parish. The 14 leaves are a tribute to young people in the parish who are sadly no longer with us. A selection of silhouettes and shadows represent a small sample of the various activities that can take place in Magheracloone Community Centre. A circular logo was chosen as a sign of unity and strength.
The logo features the bold striking simplicity of Black and white, the colours synonymous with Magheracloone. The simple two-tone logo can of course be used in varying contrasting colours, its monochromatic simplicity lends itself to various usage, such as the production of stencils, Rubber stamps or engineered metal. The font style ‘Lucinda Grande Bold’ was chosen to echo the style of existing signage at the community centre.
